Mímir-símenntun is an educational company for adults who want to strengthen their position in their work, studies and daily life. We work diligently to make learning accessible to everyone, especially those who have had limited opportunities for formal education.

We offer a wide range of courses and programmes, including basic skills, vocational training, Icelandic as a second language, and various language courses. The courses are designed with the needs of working people in mind – so you can learn at your own pace and on your own terms.

Mímir-símenntun is owned by The Federation of Icelandic Trade Unions  and has been operating since 2003. We work in accordance with laws about further education and we have a formal recognition educational providers from the Ministry of Education and Children's Affairs. The association is run on a not-for-profit basis, which means that all profits are used to enhance the education and opportunities of adult people in the Icelandic labour market.

Our goal is clear: Opening doors to education and supporting people to take the next steps.
