Icelandic citizenship tests are taking place at Mími.
Icelandic language tests for prospective applicants for Icelandic citizenship are currently being held at Mímir. The tests are a record-breaking event, with over 700 people taking the exam in November. The tests assess all language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking, at the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The Centre for Education and School Services sets the exams and sends out the results, but the administration and organisation of the exams are handled by Mímir. In addition, exams are held at the further education centres Símey, Austurbrú and Fræðslumiðstöð Vestfjarða. This is a major undertaking, and the Mímir building is bustling with activity all day long, with people giving their best, whether studying or sitting exams. The exam period at Mímir is characterised by good organisation and a calm atmosphere, and we support all our candidates as best we can. The exams are held twice a year, in the autumn and in the spring.
