This course for door supervisors is held in collaboration with the City of Reykjavík and the Capital Area Police, ensuring its reliability. The course is designed to enhance your work in a variety of ways.

To graduate and obtain a licence as a security guard, it is necessary to pass 80% attendance. This also ensures that you get the most out of your studies and are well prepared for the job.

The course is intended for working doormen and for all those who intend to work as doormen.

Upon completion of your studies, you can apply for a door supervisor certificate at The police website.

You can apply Provisional certificate as soon as you have registered for the course. It makes it easier for you to start working as a doorman sooner.

In addition to the course, the following requirements must be met to be eligible to apply for a certificate:

  • Have caught at the age of 20 at least.
  • Have not became guilty of a violent or drug offence in the last five years.
