Kennarinn talar arabísku. Námskeiðið Íslenska, atvinnulíf og samfélag  er námskeið á stigi 1 framhald/stig 2 hægferð í íslensku.

Á námskeiðinu er haldið áfram að byggja upp grunnorðaforða í íslensku með áherslu á skilning, lestur, tal, ritun og hlustun. Farið er hægt yfir námsefnið og lögð áhersla á endurtekningar með fjölbreyttum og hagnýtum leiðum.

Námstækni, sjálfsefling og þjálfun í að nota rafrænar lausnir er hluti af námskeiðinu.  Hluti af námskeiðinu er fræðsla um íslenskt atvinnulíf, meðal annars réttindi og skyldur bæði vinnuveitenda og starfsmanna.

Námskeiðið skiptist í 67 klukkustundir af íslenskunámi og 16 klukkustundir af fræðslu um atvinnulífið og 12 klukkustundir af sjálfseflingu, alls 95 klukkustundir.

Íslenskunámið er framhaldsnámskeið í íslensku  á stigi A1.1-A1.2 samkvæmt The European Language Framework A variety of teaching materials are used on the course, and active student participation ensures that learning Icelandic is both effective and enjoyable. The course materialsIcelandic for everyone 1 og 2 er notað að hluta auk leikja, spila, aukaefnis og rafrænna stoða af ýmsu tagi. Einnig er notað sérhæft efni til þjálfunar í lestri, hljóðfræði og ritun.

The vocational part of the course uses a variety of material from official websites related to the subject.

Námskeiðið er kennt á arabísku og íslensku.

Learn the alphabet and pronunciation: You will get a good foundation to continue learning Icelandic and training in the Icelandic phonemic system.

You build up a basic vocabulary by using pictures and words effectively.

We focus on speech therapy and you practise simple and practical sentences.

You will receive training in the basics of reading and writing simple words and sentences. You will also practise writing simple words and basic personal information electronically.

You practise using practical websites and apps with computers and smartphones.

Grammar is presented in a very simple way in the context of the subject matter.

Your skills are assessed at the end of the course and you are given advice on the next steps in your Icelandic studies.

Each course is adapted to the specific group of students, so the focus may vary between groups to meet your needs.

The course is for people, 18 and over, sem vill halda áfram að læra íslensku, fræðast um íslenskt atvinnulíf og efla samskipti og sjálfstraust.

Assessment is based on attendance, oral assessments and in-class activities that encourage active participation.

To complete the programme and graduate, it is necessary to achieve 80% attendance.

The course is subsidised by the Education Fund to equalise access and promote learning for adults.

Teaching is conducted in accordance with the curriculum of the Centre for Professional Education, accredited by the Centre for Education and School Services, which ensures quality and reliability. All FA curricula can be accessed here.

A placement test at the start of the course is included in the course fee for those who need it to determine which level is best suited to them for their Icelandic studies. This ensures quality and better results.

Other: For those coming from countries outside the EEA: Part of the conditions set by the Immigration Authority for obtaining indefinite leave to remain in Iceland is to have completed 150 lessons/120 hours of Icelandic language study. It does not matter if different levels are taken or if levels are repeated.
