Karen Guðmundsdóttir

Careers and Counsellor/Project Manager

I provide guidance on course selection, as well as assistance, support and advice with studies. I help individuals to recognise their own strengths, to build their self-confidence and belief in their own ability to achieve their set goals in their studies and career. I provide assistance with career development, the creation of CVs, cover letters and preparation for job hunting.

I am qualified to administer the Bendix interest inventory and the assessment of prior learning. Working on the assessment of prior learning for service pathways is an enjoyable part of the job, as it gives individuals in the workforce the opportunity to validate their knowledge and skills. The assessment of competence increases individuals' confidence and can be a springboard for further learning.
