In Mímis's professional development courses for staff in health and social care, a strong emphasis is placed on enhancing your personal and professional skills. We offer continuing professional development that empowers you and provides you with the tools to tackle the diverse challenges of your important work.
The courses are specifically designed for those who work in caring for people, whether they are disabled or elderly, and whether the work is carried out in private homes or in institutions.
The professional development courses are held in collaboration with Mímir Continuing Education and the Efling Trade Union and can open up new opportunities to strengthen you in your work.
The course is for those who work in care within the health and social care sector, are over 20 years of age, and have not completed a formal secondary school education.
The target group for further education, as determined by the Board of the Training Fund. Terms and Conditions and Allocation Rules of the Education Fund.
The course is taught in Icelandic. To take part in the course, it is recommended that you have skills in at least. level A2–B1 in Icelandic in accordance with The European Language Framework.

The prerequisite for this course is Foundation Course 1 for staff in health and social care.
