Mímir Continuing Education, registration number 701202-3920, is an educational company operating in the field of further and vocational education. The main aim of Mímir-símenntun is to create opportunities for learning for people with a short formal education and to encourage people in the labour market to engage in lifelong learning and career development. A second main objective is to offer a variety of courses in Icelandic as a second language, as well as language courses. The course structure is tailored to the needs of working people and the business community at any given time. 

Mímir-símenntun is a limited company owned by the Icelandic Federation of Labour. Mímir has a service agreement with the Training Authority for the Business Sector, operates in accordance with the Act on Further Education No. 27/2010, and is approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture to provide further education.
