
Nurturing your spark
On Thursday, 11th April, the staff of Mímis broke with their usual workday, spending the entire day together to train themselves to tackle new challenges in life and work. Experts were brought in to lead workshops both before and after lunch. Before lunch, Bryndís Jóna Jónsdóttir, MA, a positive psychology practitioner, mindfulness teacher and careers and study adviser, led the session. She called her workshop „Nurturing Your Spark“ and suggested various tools to increase job satisfaction and build on one's own and others' strengths.
At lunchtime, Fjóla Pétursdóttir, a yoga teacher, came and made sure that everyone present had a good stretch.
In the afternoon, Ágústa Sigrún Ágústsdóttir, a management coach at Proevents, led exercises that tested cooperation, trust and resourcefulness, among other things.
The day was a great success and the staff are heading into the spring months feeling refreshed.
