Around 120 students graduate from Mími

Nearly 120 students graduated from Mími yesterday.

„I want to thank you, dear graduates, for the trust you have shown in Mímir, its staff and teachers, by allowing us to be a part of your lives. It is a wonderful feeling to see students flourish in their studies and lives after having overcome obstacles they felt were insurmountable, even for years. To see students graduate from Mímir full of confidence to tackle new challenges, whether in their studies or their careers,” said Sólveig Hildur Björnsdóttir, Managing Director of Mímir, among other things when she addressed the students at the Mímir graduation ceremony, which took place at a festive event in Grafarvogskirkja yesterday, 11 June.

Sandra Dögg Ómarsdóttir Löve, a graduate student from Menntastoðir, also addressed the gathering. She spoke, among other things, about how well new students are welcomed at Mímir and how they gradually gain momentum in their studies and graduate full of self-confidence. The learning environment at Mímir is pleasant, and the staff and teachers are extremely encouraging. At Mímir, student welfare is a top priority.

Svavar Knútur sang and played two beautiful songs and reminded the graduating students of the importance of empathy in all interactions.

This time, 118 students graduated from Mími, both from courses and from the assessment of prior learning.

Mímir congratulates all students on their achievement and extends its best wishes for a happy summer and a prosperous future to them and their families.
