Mímir recently received a NordPlus grant to develop a course aimed at strengthening the position of older staff in the labour market with regard to digital competence.

The project, entitled „Be digital – Social Media Skills for 50+“, received a grant of 14,350 euros, or around two million Icelandic krónur, and is a collaborative project between four countries: Iceland, Norway, Latvia and Lithuania.

A course will be developed for the group for workplaces to offer their staff, as well as for trade unions to offer to their members, with the aim of enhancing skills up to retirement and beyond.

The project is for two years and begins with a kick-off meeting in Iceland in October 2019.
