EQM+ Quality Certification Renewal
Mímir has received confirmation that its operations meet European standards for the quality of educational activities, validation of prior learning, and study and career guidance. This is a renewal of the EQM+ quality certification for educational providers (European Quality Mark). Mímir first received the EQM quality certification in 2012.
The Training Centre for the Business Sector is the certification body for EQM and EQM+ in Iceland, which is a transparent assessment process for training providers to evaluate their practices against recognised quality standards. EQM and EQM+ are designed to meet the growing demands for the effectiveness of learning and common quality standards for education providers outside the formal education system. The certification takes into account the quality of the service provided by the education provider, their internal quality management and procedures, as well as how current practices align with recognised quality standards.
It is based on self-assessment, which is reviewed by an accredited assessment body, StarfsGæði ehf, which also provides recommendations on quality matters and improvements during the assessment process.
