Fun and seriousness at an induction course for nursery school staff
A professional development course for nursery school staff, Level 2, is currently being held. Students attending have completed Level 1 and are seeking further professional development.
The courses are held in partnership between Mímis-símenntun and Efling. The course is intended for individuals over the age of 20, who have had little formal education and work in the upbringing and care of children in nurseries.
When we arrived, the students were busily learning about accident prevention and first aid. However, the focus is on accident prevention and first aid as they relate to children and the working environment of nursery staff.

The picture below shows a papier-mâché bride made by the students. This is part of the training they receive to develop their skills in conducting art activities with nursery school children.
