Diversity in Icelandic enriches the language, its beauty and its depth. Each individual voice, each unique style of speech, contains various nuances and contributes to the language evolving as a living part of culture. Celebrating this diversity strengthens inclusion, and reminds us that a language grows and flourishes with its speakers.
That's why we want to hear from those who are learning or don't have Icelandic as their mother tongue! Record a short video (maximum 30 seconds) in which you speak Icelandic and tell us how your Icelandic is. – with all its quirks! All voices and all accents are welcome, because every voice matters. Post the video on social media and use the video hashtags #that's my Icelandic or #islandic memory and Tag us @mimir. Please note: The Facebook account must be public for us to see the post.
The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges on Icelandic Language Day and will receive a free Icelandic course of their choice from Mímir.

The winner will be chosen by a skilled jury on the Day of the Icelandic language, and will receive an Icelandic course of their choice at Mímir, free of charge.
