Graduation for students in Care Workshop and Icelandic 3
This week, 13 students graduated from the Care Workshop and Icelandic 3 at Mímir. The students have worked hard and shown great enthusiasm for their studies.
The learning activities were very varied. Students took part in, for example, a music workshop, a movement workshop and a visual arts workshop, where they learned how creative disciplines could be used in care work. They also went on several enjoyable visits, for example to a day centre for the elderly, a company in the healthcare sector and a museum, as well as learning Icelandic from their teacher, Holmfridur Gestsdottir.
Part of the course also included a four-day work placement. The care homes where the students worked gave them positive feedback and expressed their satisfaction with their work ethic, professionalism and attentiveness. Following the work placement, some of the students received job offers, which is an excellent result and a testament to their competence and diligence. The staff at Mímir would like to sincerely thank the organisations that hosted the students for their cooperation.
We sincerely congratulate these talented individuals on their achievement and thank them for choosing to take part in the course. We are confident that they will continue on their successful journey.
This is the first time that a Care Workshop has been offered by Mímir, and the course has already established itself. A new Care Workshop is now on sale for the Spring 2025 term.
Here are some pictures from the graduation.
