
Director of Finance and Operations
The post holder is responsible for the day-to-day financial and operational management of the company and leads a strong team in this area. The Head of Department reports to the Managing Director and is a member of the company's Executive Board.

Key responsibilities and duties
- Responsibility for the day-to-day management and procedures of finance and accounting.
- Management and monitoring of settlements and planning
- Responsibility for invoicing and collection
- Monitoring, analysis and preparation of operational reports and management information
- Communication and negotiation with companies, funds, institutions and suppliers
- Responsibility for IT and property management
- Responsibility for the company's quality system and operating licences
- Responsibility for human resources in the field
- Other ad-hoc tasks
Educational and competency requirements
- A university education that is relevant to the job, e.g. in business or finance, is an advantage.
- Proven experience in comparable projects
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Good analytical skills and a good command of the processing and presentation of financial information.
- Experience with implementing changes and/or automation is an advantage.
- Organisational skills, a commitment to improvement and autonomy in work
- Honesty, drive and a positive attitude
- Good command of Icelandic and English
