Vocational training course in care for jobseekers

Mímir, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the trade union Efling, is offering people who are looking for work a professional training course in care this autumn. It is a new initiative to open a course of this kind for people who are unemployed, but many have lost their jobs recently due to COVID-19, and it is hoped that people from that group will see this as an opportunity to change their career path.

The Ministry of Health is funding the project and has commissioned Efling to promote the course to its members who are seeking employment. Mímis's role is to organise and run the professional course, as it has extensive experience in organising and running professional courses for staff in social and health services in collaboration with the Efling trade union.

The course begins in early August and takes place Registration through Efling trade union.

The maximum number of participants for the course is 18, and if demand is high, a second course is planned for later in the year.
