Mímis' Christmas dinner

Today, Friday, 15th December, Mímis's annual Christmas party was held for teachers, assessors and staff. A festive Christmas atmosphere was in the air, with Sigurður Helgi Pálmason singing Christmas carols for those present, accompanied on the piano by Jónas Þórir Þórisson, and guests were also invited to join in.

Ingunn Guðmundsdóttir, a department manager at Mímir, welcomed the guests and told a fun Christmas story. Jón Ágúst Eggertsson, a recent graduate from Menntastoðir, delighted the attendees with his powerful personal account of his studies at Mímir. Þórunn Rakel Gylfadóttir, a writer and teacher at Mímir, spoke about her experience as a new teacher at Mímir and how rewarding it is to teach Icelandic and literature to people from foreign backgrounds. She also read from the newly published book by the Love Story Society, Munnbiti.

An exceptionally successful Christmas dinner and a fun and rewarding get-together.
