Erasmus+ visit from Girona, Spain

We at Mímir were lucky enough to have visitors from Girona in Spain at the beginning of March. They were six Spanish-speaking students, who are learning English, along with two teachers who work at an adult education centre in CFA Girona. They gave a presentation on sustainability, which focused specifically on the importance of growing a Mediterranean diet in urban allotments.

During their stay, the group visited the Centre for Education and School Services, where they received a short presentation on the work of Brúarsmiðja. They also went to the Hellisheiði Power Station, where they were introduced to the use of geothermal energy in Reykjavík. During a visit to the Árbær City Library, they presented the results of their research and were given a tour of the library's facilities. They were impressed by the diverse and multicultural work and resources available there. They also took part in two English classes at Mími and had the opportunity to present and share their ideas with our students and teachers.

We hope they have returned home with the knowledge and adventures that Iceland had to offer, and will come back for a visit soon.
