Lightness and a festive atmosphere at Mími's 2018 spring graduation.
„I wish you every success – whether your path leads to further study or in another direction – towards new challenges in life and work. Be bold and make your dreams come true,” said Sólveig Hildur Björnsdóttir, Managing Director of Mímir, among other things when she addressed the students at the Mímir graduation ceremony, which took place last Friday in a solemn ceremony at Grafarvogskirkja. Nearly 120 students celebrated the completion of their studies and 26 practical assessments.
Solveig Hildur then thanked the staff of Mímir and the many teachers for the excellent work they do for Mímir, and reminded them of the great responsibility involved in working with students towards their goals. Mímir is of great value to adult education in Iceland, with 2,500 people studying at Mímir last year and 1,500 receiving study and career guidance. Exciting times lie ahead for Mímir, where there will be an effort to increasingly integrate technology and teaching, and to further strengthen the collaboration with the business community, which is of immense importance to Mímir and its students.
The graduating students of Mímir actively took part in making the ceremony as festive as possible, and Kolbrún Eva Viktorsdóttir sang two well-chosen songs accompanied by her brother, Sigurvin Sindri Viktorsson. Sigríður Bára Einarsdóttir then delivered a speech on behalf of the graduating students.
Mímir sincerely congratulates the students on their achievement and extends its best thanks to them and their families for the pleasant collaboration.
