Mímir presented a professional Icelandic language course at an EPALE lunchtime event.
Mímir took part in a lunchtime seminar on micro-learning and micro-credentials in adult education, held by EPALE (Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe) on 16th October at Nauthóll. The meeting addressed the current situation and discussed possible future solutions and opportunities.
Mímir introduced a 20-hour professional Icelandic course, specially tailored to the needs of staff in healthcare and nurseries. The aim of this course is to enhance professional language skills, with an emphasis on practical communication and vocabulary for use in the workplace.
The courses were considered a good example of how the needs of both the labour market and individuals can be met with short, flexible and targeted study programmes.
