Christmas cheer of teachers, caterers and staff

A sense of warmth best describes the atmosphere that was created when teachers, assessors and staff of Mímis came together last Friday evening in the new student space for Mímis' Christmas party. On this occasion, the student space was formally inaugurated; it was redesigned earlier in the year with the aim of creating a comfortable and inspiring learning environment for students that is a pleasant place to be.

Sólveig Hildur Björnsdóttir, the director of Mímir, made the importance of respect and love the subject of her address, reminding everyone, among other things, of what the true gifts are. The true Christmas spirit consists, first and foremost, of love, helpfulness and kind words for ourselves and others.

Geir Sigurður Gíslason, a former student of Mími, spoke about his experience with Mími and spoke highly of the great encouragement and patience that the teachers showed him and his fellow students.

Valur Gunnarsson also spoke to the guests; he has been teaching computer and information technology at Mími for almost eight years. Valur is a popular teacher and compared his experience of teaching at Mími to being part of a large family.

Kolbrún Eva Viktorsdóttir, who is also a former student of Mímis, performed several Christmas songs, accompanied by her brother, Sindri Viktorsson.

The staff of Mímis would like to thank both teachers and assessors, past and present students, for their collaboration this year and in previous years. We are truly proud of our people.
