A successful year despite the pandemic

„Overall, 2020 was a successful year for Mímis's operations. Student hours increased year-on-year, despite the enormous uncertainty surrounding the running and activities of Mímis due to the coronavirus pandemic,“  says Sólveig Hildur Björnsdóttir, Managing Director of Mímir, in the organisation's 2020 annual report, which she presented at the organisation's annual general meeting, held online on Friday, 28th May.

„I am proud of how the staff, teachers and students at Mími tackled new challenges with composure, resourcefulness and, not least, common sense,“ says Sólveig Hildur, as schooling at Mími changed throughout the year in line with the public health regulations issued by the authorities at any given time, while every effort was also made for remote teaching and online guidance. The technological future therefore suddenly became the present, perhaps much sooner than had been anticipated.
