Project managers from Mímir visited the University of Iceland
Vanessa and Zita, project managers at Mímir, recently visited University of Iceland where they gave a presentation on Mímí to students on the BA programme in Icelandic as a Second Language.
They presented Mími's activities to the students and emphasised the diverse range of Icelandic courses on offer at Mími. Various types of courses, many different levels, as well as distance and in-person teaching. Afterwards, they had a good and lively chat with the students about teaching foreign languages.
The students were extremely interested in how to become a successful teacher and what the requirements are for teaching at a language school. They were not afraid to ask interesting questions and hopefully, they got the answers they were looking for.
Subsequently, the students will visit Mími and sit lessons as observers to gain a greater understanding of teaching methods in language learning.
It was a pleasant visit, and Vanessa and Zita consider themselves lucky to be able to take part in guiding the students on their journey to becoming successful teachers.
We look forward to welcoming them at Mímir.
