The Icelandic education system presented to Spanish-speaking students

Part of the careers and study advisers' role at Mímir is to inform students about what is on offer in the Icelandic education system. The guidance covers the entire education system, from nursery school to university or vocational training. The various schools are then reviewed, as well as the education available across the country, the prerequisites for the courses, and so on. It then examines the opportunities available to students for whom Icelandic is an additional language. The activities of adult education centres are then presented, and the pathways available through them are described. To an outsider, the system can seem complicated, but the aim is to simplify the picture and provide a relatively clear overview of what is on offer. Students are then given the opportunity to book a consultation with a careers adviser at Mímir for further assistance.
