On Wednesday, 13 December 2023, impressive groups graduated from Mímir with Certificates of Completion for Professional Development Courses 1 and 2 for staff in health and social services. The courses are held in partnership between Mímis-símenntun and Efling and are intended for those who assist, care for or look after the sick, disabled and elderly in private homes or institutions. They are also for those who help clients with shopping, cleaning and personal care.

The professional courses focus on areas of study that are useful to the employee in their work and personal life, but the courses also serve as a prerequisite for studies in the Social Care Gateway at Mími. Specialist Courses 1 and 2 have a combined total of 190 hours, 95 hours each.
