VR offers its members career development advice in partnership with Mími.

Kristín Erla Þráinsdóttir, a careers adviser at Mímir, is interviewed in the latest issue of the VR magazine. VR and Mímir – Lifelong Learning are collaborating on career development counselling, and on VR's website, members have the opportunity to view a sub-page called 'Career Development'. VR offers its members, among other things, an online career development consultation service where a careers adviser assists them with their career development considerations. The consultations are free of charge for members and can be booked via the VR website. The interviews are designed to provide support and information about possible paths for further career development. In a conversation with Kristín Erla, it emerges that the interviews take place via the Teams application, which is extremely simple and convenient to use. It is also possible to request a phone call. When asked, Kristín says the aim of the counselling is to assist members with decision-making about their education or position in the labour market, as well as to explore career development opportunities. The aim is to provide personalised advice, which can be given in either Icelandic or English, depending on the circumstances.
