Looking for Project Managers in Education and Development

We are looking for talented and ambitious project managers for our growing team. The projects are varied and involve the planning and development of courses in Icelandic as a second language, as well as in the field of further education.

Mímir is a leading centre for lifelong learning that provides quality education for a diverse student body. As a Project Manager, you will be involved in creating learning opportunities and developing an effective learning environment for adult learners. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects aimed at maximising our students' positive learning experience.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Project management of courses, study programmes, examinations and other projects in accordance with Mímis's quality system.
  • Needs analysis and development of new courses, including in collaboration with industry.
  • Innovation and development in learning and teaching.
  • Participation in teamwork and development projects.
  • Presentations on Mímis educational offerings.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks.

Educational and competency requirements

  • Higher education and relevant work experience; teacher training is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Icelandic (B1 or above) and English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
  • Organisational skills, innovative thinking, independence and flexibility.
  • Good communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to lead and participate in teamwork.
  • Knowledge of the further education system, ISAT and/or the work of adult education centres is an advantage.
  • Good skills in using software and adopting new technology.
  • Drive and initiative in work.
