Students in Community Interpretation happily head out into the summer
It's a real harvest festival at Mími Lifelong Learning these days. Students are graduating in droves from all sorts of courses and heading off into the summer. This wonderful group has just graduated from the Community Interpretation course, where students learn about Icelandic society and its institutions. „It's a kind of window for immigrants into Icelandic society. We cover things like culture, ethics and controversial issues, where the main institutions are, and really how Icelandic society works. It's obviously a lot to take in, but the course helps students to integrate into our society quickly and effectively,“ says Irma Matchavariani, a project manager at Mímir.
