Graduation of a community interpreter

Eleven students graduated on Friday, 12th May from Mímir's course for community interpreters.

The course is intended for those who are, or intend to be, community interpreters, a role which involves verbally conveying meaning between parties who do not speak the same language, without taking a position on the subject matter.

Students learn about Icelandic society and its main institutions. They also receive training in note-taking and interpretation on the course.

We sincerely congratulate them.
