Icelandic at 5 in the morning in Mími

This magnificent group will soon complete a stage. 5 in Icelandic Apart from the picture, they can be seen with their teacher, Holmfridur Gestsdottir. The course is taught four days a week, for a total of 5 weeks.

Icelandic 5 is at level B1.1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students tackling the level have completed four 40-hour Icelandic courses, or 160 hours of study. Those with comparable proficiency in Icelandic are welcome to join Level 5, after Situation assessment which is on offer.

In the course, speaking and listening are strengthened through a variety of teaching methods, and students work on written tasks to improve their reading and writing skills. Grammar skills are further developed in line with the needs of the students at this level. Participants' skills are assessed at the end of the course and they are given advice on the next steps in their Icelandic studies.
