Mímis's advisers presented employment-related resources at the Virk resource fair.

On 16th April, Mímir took part in a resource fair. Active where partners presented the diverse resources available to VIRK's advisers and specialists. The focus was on employment-related resources and ways to support participants towards active participation in the labour market.

Karen Guðmundsdóttir and Kristín E. Ketilsdóttir, career and study advisers at Mímir, presented, among other things. Education and career guidance, Practical skills assessment for community workers and nursery and support assistants, and Bendil's interest survey.

There was then interest in various courses at Mímir, where the emphasis is on support for learning. Location- and Distance learning in Educational Foundations It has been a sought-after course of study for those who wish to strengthen their academic foundation and has proven to be an effective preparation for further education. Club Team Portal and Early Years Educator and Support Worker Bridge have also been a good way for people to develop professionally and to strengthen their position in the labour market.

Interest in is ever-increasing work-related Icelandic courses which take into account work in care, leisure and nursery settings. In such courses, emphasis is placed on training understanding and communication so that everyone can carry out their work in an effective and professional manner. In addition, there are Icelandic courses from level 1-6 in available in various languages such as Arabic, English, Polish and Spanish, to name but a few.

Courses taught in English are also popular, and the most notable ones are, How to be self-employed in Iceland, Basic computer skills and self-empowerment along with Bouncer course.

There has been great satisfaction with the collaboration between Mímir and Virk. The aim is to meet people where they are and to enhance the work capacity of those who are striving for greater activity and participation in the labour market.
