Project Manager – Promotions and Marketing

Mímir is looking to hire a dynamic individual to take on the role of Project Manager with a focus on promotion and marketing. The Project Manager will be responsible for a varied and lively role, is responsible for copywriting for the company's website, developing the website as well as managing social media, analyses target audiences and handles publications, participates in curriculum development and is in close contact with the business community to promote the activities of Mímir.

Responsibilities/Key tasks

  • Promotional work and oversight of the website, publication of a web newsletter and social media.
  • Provision of information and communication with participants, institutions and stakeholders.
  • Sales and marketing, and management of the publication of promotional material.
  • Participation in the development of the curriculum and training for related projects.
  • Overseeing the organisation of events run by Mímis.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks.

Competency requirements

  • Higher education that is applicable to the job, such as in teaching, consultancy, media, marketing and/or information technology.
  • Experience with similar projects is desirable.
  • Knowledge of adult education and the Icelandic labour market is an advantage.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of web development and the distribution of content via electronic media.
  • Very good command of Icelandic and the ability to express oneself both orally and in writing.
  • A good command of English; other foreign languages are an advantage.
  • Accuracy, independence, initiative and the ability to follow through on tasks.
  • Imaginative and with very good teamwork and communication skills.

Project Manager – Education and Curriculum Development

Mímir is looking to hire a staff member to lead and work on a variety of projects in the field of adult education. The Project Manager will undertake a varied and dynamic role, managing the organisation of courses and the development of new programmes, liaising with students and lecturers, analysing job competencies and skills, and maintaining close contact with the business community to promote the activities of Mímir.

Responsibilities/Key tasks

  • Daily supervision and project management of courses and/or study programmes in accordance with Mímis's quality system.
  • Planning, organisation and management of training and courses in various formats, i.e. both face-to-face training and distance learning.
  • Needs analysis and development of new courses in various fields.
  • Participation in teamwork and development projects.
  • Various types of presentations and the development of educational resources in collaboration with the business community.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks. 

Competency requirements

  • University education that is useful in the job.
  • Knowledge and experience of educational work is an advantage.
  • Good skills in using software and systems related to teaching and course delivery.
  • Ability to plan learning and assess progress.
  • Knowledge of the further education system and/or the work of adult education centres is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good command of Icelandic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Other language skills are an advantage, not a requirement..
