Graduation of a community interpreter
Ten students graduated on Thursday, 16 May 2024, from Mímir's course for community interpreters.
The course is intended for those who are, or are considering becoming, community interpreters. Community interpreting is the oral interpretation between parties who do not speak the same language, without taking a stance on the subject matter.
Students learn about Icelandic society and its main institutions. They also receive training in note-taking and interpretation on the course.
We sincerely congratulate them.
