The future of work is a concern for Mímis's advisers.
Common Spring conference for members of Ský, Stjórnvísir and Mannauður was held in April and was attended by Hlín Rafnsdóttir, a study and careers adviser and project manager at Mími.
A wide range of lectures on the future were available from different sectors of the business world. It is important for careers advisers to keep up with the rapid impact of technological developments on jobs. It is clear that some jobs will disappear, most will change to some extent, and new jobs will also be created. Disinformation can affect jobs, for example with regard to decision-making and strategy-setting in projects. Collaboration between different professions will also become increasingly important for tackling the complex challenges of our time. Furthermore, the role of managers in creating trust and positivity within teams is becoming ever more crucial for fostering creativity, growth and a positive workplace culture.
